A Firefighter's Prayer
When I am called to duty, God wherever flames may rage, give me strength to save
a life, whatever be it's age.
Help me to embrace a little child before its too late, or save an older person
from the horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert to hear the weakest shout, and quickly and efficiently
to put the fire out.
I want to fill my calling and to give the best in me, to guard my neighbor and
protect his property.
And if according to your will I have to lose my life, bless with you protecting
hand my loving family from stife.

Lady Firefighter
Asleep until the tones sound,
Get dressed like I always do,
Run out the door station bound,
I jump in the truck and wait for the crew.
I fly to the scene with an adrenaline rush,
I see things people wouldn't believe,
Whether it be a dwelling fire or a MVA with a bus,
I do what I'm asked and I don't decieve.
I donn my gear and fight the fire,
I rescue that small child or older person,
I keep cars away from that loose wire,
I stop the blaze before it worsens.
I may be small but I am tough,
I may be little but it makes me lighter,
I may be a woman but I am rough,
I am a Lady Firefighter
